Robert P. Carter, age 66, of Columbus died Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at his home.
Robert was born June 26, 1945 in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania to Edward and Veronica (Halas) Carter. He grew up in Orange, Texas. He graduated from Orange-Stark High School in 1963. He continued his education at Austin College in Sherman, Texas and later received his MBA and Phd. in finance and economics from California Western. Robert married Judy Windsor on April 21, 1979 in Houston, Texas. He worked in the accounting and finance fields for General Electric and Dr. Pepper before moving to Columbus in 1997. He continued his work while living in Columbus, working for several Native American Indian Tribes. He was a member of the Masons and a Shriner. Bob enjoyed debating politics, bargain hunting and visiting with his many friends.
Robert is survived by his wife Judy of Columbus and Punkin.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one infant daughter from a previous marriage.
