Rita Greisen

Rita Greisen, 50, of Platte Center died Saturday June 21, 2003 at Columbus Community Hospital. Services are 10:30 am Tuesday, June 24 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Platte Center with the Rev. Rod Kneifl officiating. Visitation will be on Monday beginning at 5:00 pm at St. Joseph Church-Platte Center with a Vigil service at 7:00 pm, also at the church. Visitation will continue Tuesday morning from 9:30 am until service time at the church. Interment will be in Ss. Patrick/Joseph Cemetery in rural Platte Center. Memorials are suggested to the donors choice.

Rita Greisen was born September 27, 1952 in Columbus to John & Alice (Schilz) Soulliere. Rita grew up in Platte Center and graduated from Lakeview High School in 1970. Following high school she went to work at Behlen Manufacturing. On September 5, 1981 she married David Greisen at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Platte Center. In 1990 she went to work for Dr. Elliott Rustad as a secretary. Rita was also a housewife. Rita was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where she served as a lector. She enjoyed sewing, cross-stitching, cooking, growing flowers, and her schnauzers Gracie & Millie.
