Richard Zegar

Richard Zegar, age 69,of Silver Creek died Thursday at the Litzenberg Memorial Hospital in Central City following a battle with cancer.

Richard P. Zegar was born March 4, 1941 on the family farm near Clarks, Nebraska to Henry and Helen (Gonsior) Zegar. He graduated from Clarks High School in 1959. He served in the National Guard. Richard married Dorothy Miller on November 7, 1964 at St.. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Genoa. They farmed near Clarks before moving to their current farm near Silver Creek. He was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church where he served on the parish and cemetery boards. He enjoyed farming, polka dances, farm sales, playing cards and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
