Richard Savage

Richard Savage of Columbus died Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Columbus Community Hospital.

Richard "Dick" Savage was born September 26, 1928 in Spalding, NE to Alois and Cecelia (Dubas) Savage. He married Barbara Beck on May 2, 1956 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Clarks, NE. To this union 3 children were born, David, Linda, and Michael.

Richard received his primary education at Spalding Academy in Spalding, NE then moved to Columbus where he attended St. Bonaventure High School graduating in 1946.

He was employed at Cornhusker Public Power District for over 43 years and retired as Supervisor of Field Engineering in 1987.

Richard was a charter member of St. Isidore Church and the Holy Name Society. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus #938 for over 60 years. Richard was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling, Nebraska sports, and doing yard work.
