Richard Ilgen, age 62, of Columbus died Monday, January 10, 2011 at the Golden Living Center in Columbus.
Richard Ilgen was born October 27, 1948 in South Beloit, WI to Lloyd and Virginia (Radke) Ilgen. He was raised in Wisconsin before joining the US Army during the Vietnam War. Following his time in the service he moved to Rockford, Il. He was united in marriage to Marjorie Jones on December 21, 1978 in Rockford. Rick worked for Rock River Distributors for 15 years before moving to Columbus in 1992 where he worked for Paraclipse and Becton Dickinson. He loved golfing, fishing, reading, and his sons athletic events.. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and was active with the Boy Scouts where he served as a scout leader.
