Richard J. Dush, age 79 of Duncan, died Sunday, September 19, 2021 at the Genoa Community Hospital.

Celebration of Life will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday, September 25, 2021 at the McKown Funeral Home. Interment will be in the St. Stanislaus Cemetery.

Richard was born November 13, 1941 in Duncan to Joseph and Mary (Borys) Dush. He received his early education at St. Stanislaus Grade School and graduated from St. Bonaventure High School. He then attended trade school in Milford where he studied tool and die. He helped on the family farm and worked at Dale Vishay and Foxley Cattle Company. Richard was united in marriage to Judy Backes in May 1982 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Duncan. Upon his final retirement from farming he enjoyed fishing, cabin trips and spending time with his family and dogs.

He is survived by:

Grandchildren: Nicholas, A.J., Philip, Natasha, Benjamin, Sarah
Great Grandchildren: Kaden, Lucas, Ryker
Siblings:   Mary Jo Boro of Shelby, Frank Dush of Lincoln, Ann (Gene) Prososki of Florida, Conrad (Sue) Dush of Duncan,
Sisters-in-laws: Donna (Don) Wemhoff, Cathy (Warren) Janssen, Connie Hegemann

He was preceded in death by his parents and twin daughters in infancy: Amy and Mimi Dush, sister: Shirley Krzycki, sister-in-law: Gina Dush,
brothers-in-law: Ron Krzycki and Julian Boro, sisters-in-laws  and brothers-in-laws Arlene and John Engel, Mary Jean and Dean Ainsworth, Danny Backes
