Reginald "Geen" Zelazny of Silver Creek died Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at the Litzenberg Long Term Care Center in Central City.

Reginald Zelazny was born January 14, 1936 in Polk County to Edward and Frances (Bialas) Zelazny. He grew up on the farm in Polk County and attended District 23 School. Following the death of his father, Geen helped farm the family farm with the help of his uncles. In 1957 he moved to Nance County where he continued farming. Geen was an active member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and member of the St. Lawrence Prayer Chain. He enjoyed listening to Polka music, rocking on his rocking chair, and going to morning coffee.

He is survived by:
Mother: Frances Zelazny of Central City
Brother: Jerry (Kathleen) Zelazny of North Bend
Brother: Raymond Zelazny of Silver Creek
Brother-in-law: Felix Tomasiewicz of Columbus
Nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, and a great grand niece

He is preceded in death by:
Father: Edward Zelazny
Sister: Maxine Tomasiewicz
