Raymond J. Tworek, age 89 of Columbus, died Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at the Columbus Community Hospital.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 11, 2021 at St. Isidore Catholic Church. Visitation is Friday 3-5p.m. There will be a vigil service 5:00 p.m. Friday all at the Church.
Interment with military honors by American Legion Hartman Post #84 Honor Guard will be in the All Saints Cemetery.
Raymond was born May 16, 1932 in Lindsay, Nebraska to Alex and Victoria (Swantek) Tworek. He served in the United States Army in Korea driving a truck to transport supplies to the front line from October 14,1952 until September 23, 1954. Ray was married to Mary Vogel on August 23, 1969 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dodge. Ray was employed at Behlen Manufacturing for 25 years. He then retired to operate Tworek Repair full time. He stayed active in the business until 2019. He was a charter member of St. Isidore Catholic Church. He enjoyed welding, fishing, hunting and polka music

Daughter: Janelle (Chris) Chvala of Columbus
Grandchildren: Alex, William and Maria
Sister: Cecelia Bitter of Columbus
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Joe, Tony, Louie, Bernard and Dominic in infancy; sisters: Elizabeth Volnek and Clara Altmanshofer
