Raymond "Ray" Stuhr, age 74, of Columbus, died Thursday at his home.
Raymond Stuhr was born January 3, 1941 in Petersburg, Nebraska to Lawrence and Mary (Starman) Stuhr Sr. He grew up in the Petersburg area where he received his education. He served in the United States Army. Ray married Barbara Hupp at St. Marys Catholic Church in Norfolk on June 24, 1967. They lived in Norfolk and Lincoln before moving to Columbus. Ray worked at various locations including Camaco, Mastercare Patient Equipment and Jackson Cleaners. Ray was a member of St. Bonaventure Church where he served as an usher for many years. He enjoyed woodworking, going to coffee with his friends, spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and cooking. He was well known for his Ray's Special chicken fried steak dinners.
