Raymond M Jarosz of Norfolk, formerly of Columbus, died Saturday, February 10, 2018 at the Norfolk Veterans Home surrounded by family following a 25 year courageous battle with Parkinsons Disease.
Raymond M. Jarosz was born August 3, 1932 in Columbus to Mike and Della (Chochon) Jarosz. He grew up in the Tarnov area and received his education at St. Michaels School in Tarnov. Ray served in the US Army during Korean War from 1952-1955. On November 24, 1956 he was united in marriage to Mary Ann Korth in St. Bernard. Ray farmed in the Tarnov area, worked for Lindsay Manufacturing, and worked for the Platte County Department of Roads. He moved to Columbus in 1996. Ray was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church. He was also a lifetime member of the VFW, the American Legion, Knights of Columbus and the Holy Name Society. Ray loved gardening, canning, fishing, raising livestock, bus trips with friends and farming. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren and friends.
