Raymond Albert Dreifurst, 81, of Columbus joined his savior on Saturday, April 4, 2009 at his home with loved ones by his side.
Raymond was born February 29, 1928 to Joseph and Theresa (Ball) Dreifurst in St. Bernard, NE. He attended school at Lindsay Holy Family in Lindsay, NE. He joined the US Army in 1946. Ray married Norma Head on February 19, 1955 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus. They resided in Columbus until they moved to Monroe in 1956. In 2003, they returned to Columbus,
Ray worked at Behlen Mfg. prior to co-starting Monroe Construction. He was an active member of the Monroe Volunteer Fire Department for 17 years, the Knights of Columbus, the VFW in Columbus and the American Legion in Monroe.
