Ralph Frank Cook of Columbus died Sunday, May 16, 2010 at Columbus Community Hospital.

Ralph Frank Cook was born May 14, 1922 in Platte County to Jake and Gertrude (Schaefer) Cook. He attended schools at St. Bernard. In 1941, Ralph entered the US Army and served during World War II. In 1944, Ralph was united in marriage to Catherine Schrant in Humphrey. Ralph farmed until 1957 when he went to work as a supervisor at Monroe Grain and Alfalfa . In 1973, he went to work for Behlen Manufacturing. In 1994, Ralph retired after 21 years of service. After a short retirement, he went back to work for Behlen's and retired again after 15 additional years. During his time at Behlen's he received numerous appreciation and recognition awards. He loved his Behlen family and was proud to be a part of it. Ralph loved helping at the Poodle Parlor and woodworking. Most of all he loved and was proud of all his children, grandchildren, (especially his granddaughter Tiffany whom he spent a lot of time with and was his best friend) and his great grandchildren. He was a member of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church, the VFW, and the American Legion.

Sister Alice Stenger of Humphrey, NE
