Polly H. Gembica

Polly H. Gembica, age 92, of Stromsburg, Nebraska, formerly of Silver Creek, died Thursday, February 21, 2008 at the Midwest Covenant Home in Stromsburg. Visitation is 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 23, 2008 at McKown Funeral Home in Silver Creek. Following the visitation burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery, Pilsno - rural Osceola with Reverend Tamara Holtz officiating.

Polly Gembica was born December 2, 1915 in Burwell, Nebraska to William H. and Sarah D. (Goings) Newcomb. She was raised in Brown County and attended grade school in Ainsworth. Polly married Edward F. Gembica on June 11, 1977 at St. Mary's Church, Pilsno. She was a homemaker and a member of the Eastern Star. Polly enjoyed gardening and baking.
