Phyllis Augustine

Phyllis Augustine of Columbus died Thursday, July 11, 2013 at her home in Columbus.

Phyllis Ann Augustine, the daughter of Frank and Margaret (Meierotto) Higgins was born November 21, 1936 at Red Oak, Iowa. She grew up in Columbus and graduated from St. Bonaventure High School in 1954. On July 6, 1955, Phyllis was united in marriage to Tony Augustine at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Columbus. Phyllis was a member of St. Anthonys Catholic Church and St. Theresa Sodality. She served as St. Anthony School secretary from 1989 until retiring in 2001. Phyllis loved playing cards and bridge, hosting family gatherings on Sunday after church, keeping up with family activities, music, and being Irish.
