Phillip Yrkoski

Phillip died Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Bryan LGH West in Lincoln.

Phillip S. Yrkoski was born December 31, 1926 in Nance County, Nebraska to George and Veronica (Liss) Yrkoski. He married Rosaline Smolenski on May 1, 1962 at St. Mary's Catholic Church Pilsno rural Osceola, Nebraska. The couple farmed north of Clarks until moving to Silver Creek in 1975. Phil worked for Excel in Schuyler for almost 20 years. After retiring he worked as a security guard for Vishay-Dale Electronics in Columbus. He was a member of the St. Lawrence Church and the Knights of Columbus in Genoa. Phil enjoyed gardening, jigsaw puzzles and singing Polish folklore. He loved to travel and had the opportunity to visit Poland numerous times. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and was known as "Grandpa Phil" throughout the community.
