Phillip R. Kudron of Columbus died Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at Osceola Good Samaritan Society.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10:00 am Saturday, July 27 at St. Anthony Church in Columbus. Visitation at St. Anthony Church is from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Friday followed by a vigil service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday morning from 9-10 am at St. Anthony's. Burial is in All Saints Cemetery. The luncheon will follow at the St. Bonaventure Parish Center
Phillip R. Kudron was born October 20, 1945, in Humphrey, NE to Adolph, Sr and Irene (Sliva) Kudron. He moved to Columbus as a child and attended St. Anthony Grade School and graduated from St. Bonaventure High School in 1963. Phil was united in marriage to Alice Chohon on May 26, 1973, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Tarnov. Phil worked for the railroad, RVW, Moorman Feed and for Columbus Public Schools as a grounds keeper until retiring in 2009.
Phil loved gardening, playing on numerous softball teams, watching baseball (Dodgers), playing golf, listening to polkas, watching westerns, his morning coffee group, card club for 48 years, attending his granddaughter's and nieces and nephews sporting events and watching football.
Phil was a member of St. Anthony church where he was an usher and participated in Perpetual Adoration. He was very devoted to his Catholic faith.
