Phil Wake

Phil died Saturday, January 30, 2016 at the Independence House in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Philip Marshall Wake was born August 29, 1925 in Genoa, Nebraska to Thomas Leslie and Edna (Marshall) Wake. After graduating Genoa High, he served in the US Navy during WWII. He married Allene Berlin in Genoa Nebraska in 1950. Philip enjoyed a 35 year career with GTE in the communities of Genoa, Neligh, Newman Grove, Albion and Columbus.

He is survived by:

Children: Cynthia Reed (Bill); Linda Slonecker (Steve); Marsha Miller (Mike); Monica Drozd (Andy)
and Shane Wake (Lori)
Grandchildren: Sean Casey, Megan Casey (Shawn Levitt); Andrea, Allison (fiance Graham Jura) and Thomas Slonecker; Leslie Birchard (Jared) and Amy Points; Molly and Maddie Drozd
Great grandchildren: Ellsie and Cash Points and Isaac Birchard

He was preceded in death by parents, Thomas and Edna Wake and four siblings.
