Paul Liekhus

Paul Liekhus, age 78 years 8 months 12 days, of Rising City, NE, passed away on April 30, 2025, in Genoa, NE. Paul was born August 18, 1946, in Albion, NE to Gregor Liekhus and Margaret Wlaschin.

Paul graduated from Albion High School in 1965. After graduation, he did 2 tours in Vietnam while serving in the Army from 1966-1969. After the Army, Paul drove semi-trucks until he retired in September 2022.

Paul married Elaine (Moeller) Liekhus on August 18, 1987. He enjoyed bowling, driving trucks and collecting stuff. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids.

Preceded in death by parents- Gregor and Margaret Liekhus, son- Jeffrey Moeller, great-granddaughter- Madison Stone, brother- Richard Liekhus and daughter- Kimberly Dowding.

Survived by wife- Elaine Liekhus (Rising City, NE), daughters- Deane Moeller (St. Edward, NE), Amanda Keib (Seward, NE), and Mary (Mark) Francis (Lincoln, NE), son- Joseph (April) Liekhus (Lincoln, NE), and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Celebration of Life will be held on June 1, 2025, at 1pm at Pawnee Park in Columbus, NE. Feel free to bring a dessert or side dish.
