Paul Kamrath of Columbus died Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at the Golden Living Center.
Paul Cecil Kamrath was born March 16, 1932 in Omaha to Cecil H. and Blanche E. (Stuefer) Kamrath. He graduated from West Point High School and entered the US Army. He served during the Korean War from January 27, 1953 until January 27, 1961. Paul received the National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, and the UN Service Medal. He attended the University of Nebraska where he graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering and a Masters degree in Math/Science. Paul worked for the Space Division of North American Rockwell in Downey, CA where he had part in the Apollo 11 spacecraft.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Blanche Kamrath and an infant sister, Georgia Kamrath.
