Patti died Sunday, May 20, 2012 at the St. Joseph's Villa in David City, Nebraska.
Patti (Hauserman) Jahn was born October 31, 1924 in Lincoln, NE to Leonard and Ruth Hauserman. The Hauserman family moved to Scottsbluff, NE in 1925. Patti graduated from Scottsbluff High School and attended Scottsbluff Junior College for two years. She worked at the Scottsbluff National Bank and also worked for her father in the family-owned Hauserman Drug Store.
Patti married Wilfred A. Jahn on November 28, 1945 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Scottsbluff, NE. They moved to Columbus in 1946 where she was a life-long homemaker, loving and dedicated wife and mother. Patti was a member of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church where she was a 30+ year member of Catholic Daughters, and a substitute for Perpetual Adoration. She was a volunteer for seven years at the Columbus Community Hospital and Morys Haven.
Patti loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, and friends. She also enjoyed reading, walking, making afghans for family, golfing, volunteering and playing Bridge. She spent many hours helping her husband can and freeze the produce from their massive garden. Patti always found the positive, bright side of life and delighted family with her fun-loving attitude.
Patti is survived by her children, Son Steve Jahn (Joan) of Columbus, NE; Daughter Connie Gormley (Ron) of Lincoln, NE; Son Mike Jahn (Christine) of Las Vegas, NV; Grandson, Jeff Jahn (Amy) of Columbus; Great-Grandchildren, Joe and Caitlin. Grandson, Dave Jahn (Jennifer) of Omaha, NE; Great-Grandchildren, Taylor, Allie, Faith and Megan. Grandson, Mitch Jahn (Melissa) of Omaha, NE; Great-Grandchild, Blake. Granddaughter, Jennifer Borer of Lincoln, NE. Granddaughter, Chrissy Jahn, Grandsons, Scott and Parker Jahn all of Las Vegas, NV. Patti is also survived by Sister-in-law, Rose (Don) Pratt of Livingston, Texas, and many nieces and nephews and dear friends.
Patti is preceded in death by her Husband, Wilfred Jahn; her Brother-in law, Marv Jahn and her Sister, Anita Reed of Portland Oregon.
Memorials may be given to St. Josephs Villa in David City, St. Bonaventure Church or to the donors choice.
