Pat Konwinski, of Omaha formerly of Columbus, died Friday, April 7, 2017 at the Brookestone Village in Omaha.
Patrick J. Konwinski was born August 12, 1932 in Silver Creek, NE to John and Stella (Sok) Konwinski. Pat grew up in Silver Creek, Chicago, and near Birchwood WI attending school and working on the family farm before moving back to Silver Creek. Pat served in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S Cowell in the Korean War from 1951 - 1955. Pat lived in Omaha following the Navy and graduated from Universal Trade School learning appliance repair. On July 6, 1958 Pat married Irene Niedzwiecki at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Duncan. Pat and Irene lived in Columbus where they raised their 3 children Connie, Johna, and Roger. Pat worked at Sears as a Service Manager until his retirement and then was self-employed running his own business, Pats Appliance Repair, for several years following his retirement from Sears. Pat was a member of St. Isidore Church in Columbus, past president of the Holy Name Society, and a lifetime member of the VFW. Pat enjoyed horse races, playing cards, going to the casino, traveling, his children, and grandchildren. Pat has resided in Omaha since September of 2012.
