Orville died Friday, September 25, 2009 at the Creighton Medical Center in Omaha.
Orville E. Aldrich was born September 9, 1926 in Marseilles, IL to Harry and Fretta (Donnelly) Aldrich. He grew up on a farm in Illinois before moving to Nebraska at age 18. He was united in marriage to Margaret Frig on December 18, 1945 in Grand Island. Orville worked in the family business at the Keen Korner Motel and Restaurant and at the gas station. Orville later sold cars for Columbus Motors. In the 1970's, Orville ran the trap range at Izaak Walton. After his retirement, he split time living in Florida and Nebraska. He belonged to the Platte Valley Radio Club, the Civil Defense, and was a member of the Eagles Club. He enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing with his friends and family.
