Ona Lee Brandl of Columbus died Sunday, August 23, 2009 at Columbus Community Hospital.
Ona Lee was born July 27, 1926 in Platte Center to Joseph and Josephine (Sliva) Fajmon. She grew up in Platte Center and graduated from Platte Center High School in 1945. Ona Lee also graduated from Business College in Omaha. On February 15, 1950 she married Ervin Brandl. They began raising a family on the farm in Madison County. She was a member of St. Leonard's Church and Guild in Madison, the Nifty Homemakers Extension Club and various card clubs before retiring and moving to Columbus in February of 1988. While living in Columbus, she was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church, Columbus Community Hospital Auxiliary, Red Hat Society, and numerous card clubs.
Ona Lee loved to play cards, attend the grandkids sporting events, watch the Atlanta Braves, and spend time with her family and friends. She was a wonderful mother of seven children.
