Odilia Macken of Columbus, formerly of Platte Center, died Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at the Golden Living Center of Columbus.
Odilia Macken was born April 11, 1918 in Platte County, Nebraska to Nicholas and Anna (Pillen) Mausbach. She grew up in Platte County and married Jerome Macken on September 26, 1939 at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church near Humphrey, Nebraska. The couple farmed near Platte Center. In 1976 Odilia moved into Platte Center. In her later years she lived at Crown Villa in Columbus. Odilia was a member of St. Joseph Church, St. Ann's Sodality, U & I Extension Club and the Guys & Gals Card Club. She enjoyed playing cards, bowling, crocheting and traveling.
