Norma J. Beckman

Norma died Monday, March 9, 2015 at the Columbus Community Hospital.

Norma J. Beckman was born March 11, 1941 in rural Platte County, Nebraska to John J. and Frances (Schaecher) Liebig. She graduated from Platte Center High School. Norma married Raymond E. Beckman on August 25, 1962 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Platte Center, Nebraska. The couple lived in San Diego, California and ONeill, Nebraska before settling in Columbus. To this union five children were born. They had eleven grandchildren. Norma worked for Behlen Manufacturing, Jackson Cleaners and then for Creighton Cardiac Center. In their later years Norma and Ray enjoyed taking road trips and going to casinos. She was a member of St. Anthony Church where she was very active. Norma enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking for others, gardening, playing the piano and spending time with her grandkids.
