Myron "Mike" Hollmann, age 80, died Monday, November 13, 2023, at Bryan East Medical Center in Lincoln.
Funeral Services are 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 18, 2023, at First Baptist Church in Columbus. Visitation is 5:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at McKown Funeral Home. Burial is in the Shelby Cemetery in Shelby, Nebraska.
In lieu of plants and flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to Mike's medical expenses.
Mike Hollmann was born on March 15, 1943. To Arnold and Lucille (Cattau) Hollmann. He attended school in Columbus. He graduated from Columbus High School Class of 1961. Mike was united in marriage to Shirley Hemmer (February 13, 1963-1965). Mike worked at Loup Power District until meeting Mary Lou. They were united in marriage on February 28, 1970. During their marriage they moved to several of the surrounding areas where he worked on different ranches and farms. Mike owned and operated Blast Off sandblasting for a couple years. After Blast Off, he started his career as a truck driver traveling across the country until he retired, He received the Million Mile Award in recognition of outstanding performance for driving 1,000,000 safe miles.
During the duration of his retirement Mike and Mary Lou resided in Atkins, AR. He enjoyed retirement getting back to his fishing, hunting, and outdoor activities. He would go fishing on the AR river. Mike enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and being around his family. Due to health issues Mike and Mary Lou moved to Silver Creek, NE. Where they continued their retirement spending time with all the family in the area.

Son - Mark (Deb) Hollmann of Columbus, NE
