Mildred Jelinek

Mildred A. Jelinek, 78, of Columbus formerly of Clarkson, died Wednesday October 31 at Columbus Community Hospital. Funeral services are 11:00 am Saturday at McKown Funeral Home with the Rev. Dorsie Ivy officiating. Visitation will be on Friday from 4-8 pm at McKown Funeral Home and on Saturday from 10 am until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Columbus Cemetery.

Mildred A. Jelinek was born April 20, 1923 in Colfax County to Frank & Anna (Zrust) Kozisek. She was raised in Colfax County and attended District 30 schools. She married Frank Jelinek on May 10, 1944 in Schuyler. Her and her husband lived in the rural Clarkson area where they farmed. They moved to Columbus in 1975. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved gardening, flowers, and traveling.
