Michael Sauser

Michael "Mike" James Sauser was born on February 2, 1977, in Osmond, NE to James Joseph Sauser and Patty Jo Jordan (Bideaux).  He passed away suddenly of a heart attack on January 8, 2025, at his home in Long Beach, CA.

Memorial services were held January 25, 2025, in Long Beach, CA. A celebration of Mike's life will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 5, 2025, at McKown Funeral Home.

Mike lived in Schuyler, NE with his parents and brother Jimmy through his freshman year.  He attended Lincoln Southeast High School for one year. In 1993, he moved to Long Beach, CA to live with his father and family and graduated from Millikan High School in 1995. He held several positions in Long Beach and New York before returning to California in 2002 to begin his own family and a career in the elevator industry. Mike worked as an Elevator Mechanic Foreman for the International Union of Elevator Constructors Local #18 for twenty years.  He was known for his dedication, hard work and love for his Union Brothers. He was everyone's handyman and mechanic.

Mike first met his wife Abby in elementary school in Nebraska through his cousin and Abby's friend, Heather.  They reconnected 25 years later in Long Beach and married in 2019.

Nephews: Beaux and Baron Montanez and Camden James Phillips and Sawyer Michael
In-laws: Dave and Sue Oppliger
Brother-in-law: Brant Oppliger
