Michael J. Konsel, age 20, of Columbus, Nebraska died Sunday, June 26, 2005 in an automobile accident near Wayne, Nebraska. Funeral Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2005 at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Columbus with Reverend Joseph A. Miksch officiating. Burial is in the All Saints Cemetery in Columbus. Visitation is after 5:00 p.m. Monday with a 7:30 p.m. Vigil Service at St. Isidore Church. Visitation continues Tuesday morning from 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. also at the church.
Michael J. Konsel was born October 29, 1984 in Norfolk, Nebraska to John "Jack" W. and Marlene (Venteicher) Konsel. He grew up and attended school in Howells, Nebraska until moving to Columbus in 1999. He graduated from Columbus High School in 2003. Mike was currently attending Wayne State College majoring in the Industrial Arts program. He was a member of TKE (Tau Kappa Epsilon) and the W.S.C. Rugby Team. He held several state and local offices in Skills USA and was active in Columbus High Wrestling, St. Isidore Youth Group, Teen Encounter Christ (TEC), 4-H and as a little league baseball umpire.
