Melvin Braun, age 72, of Columbus, died Thursday, June 27, 2013 at his home in Columbus.
Melvin F. Braun was born June 27, 1941 in Humphrey, Nebraska to Remy and Alice (Dohmen) Braun. He grew up in the Humphrey area and attended School at St. Marys before moving to Columbus. He graduated from St. Bonaventure High and later attended CCC Technical School in Cincinnati. Mel served in the United States Navy from 1959 until 1962. He married Rose M. Melish on February 2, 1963 at St. Thomas More in Cincinnati, Ohio where they lived from 1963-1978 until returning to Columbus. Mel worked at Jones Bros. Plumbing in Norwood, Ohio, Columbus Plumbing from 1978-1983 before owning and operation Braun Plumbing and Heating in Columbus. He was a member of St. Bonaventure Church, Knights of Columbus and the Volunteer Fire Department in Cincinnati. Mel enjoyed fishing, antique tractors and spending time with his grandchildren.

Brother-in-law Robert Norman and many nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents, infant twin brother: Marvin, brother: Jerry, sisters: Judy Braun and Jane Norman.
