Maxine V. Sliva died Friday, September 22, 2023, surrounded by family, at Brookestone Acres in Columbus.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 am Wednesday, September 27, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Platte Center. Visitation is from 9:00-10:30 am Wednesday, all being held at the Church. Interment is in St. Patrick/Joseph Cemetery.
Maxine V. Sliva was born October 2, 1941 in Humphrey, Nebraska to Henry and Louise (Goeckel) Foltz. She was a graduate of Platte Center High School and went on to attend Central Community College. She married Gerald Sliva on May 29, 1962 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Platte Center. Maxine worked for Cornhusker Public Power District in Columbus, Farmer's Co-op in Platte Center, and Central Service Agency in Camp Pendleton, California.
