Maxine Kolm, age 84, of Columbus, Nebraska died Thursday December 12, 2002 at the Beverly Health Care in Columbus. Funeral Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday December 16, 2002 at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Columbus with Reverend Tom Weisbecker officiating. Burial is in the St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4:00 p.m. Sunday with a 7:00 p.m. Vigil Service at McKown Funeral Home. Visitation continues Monday morning from 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. also at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the donors choice.
Maxine Kolm was born April 8, 1918 in Columbus to Frank & Maude (Michener) Sayers. She grew up in Columbus and graduated from Kramer High School in 1935. Maxine lived in Columbus for the majority of her life except for a brief time she lived in California during World War II. On April 4, 1948 she married Raymond W. Kolm. She worked various jobs around Columbus and had her own bookkeeping company. In 1957 she went to work for Loup Power District until she retired in 1983. She was a member of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church.
