Mary Lou Shemek

Mary Lou died Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at the Columbus Community Hospital.

Mary Lou Shemek was born January 5, 1930 in Cornlea, Nebraska to Thomas and Anna (Barnas) Molczyk. She graduated from Albion High School in 1948. Mary Lou married Clarence Shemek on January 17, 1950 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Albion. The couple lived and farmed on the family farm near Tarnov until 1989 when they moved to Columbus. She was a member of St. Isidore Church and the Christian Mothers. Mary Lou enjoyed being on the farm, gardening and visiting her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
