Mary T. Kula, age 91, of Silver Creek, Nebraska died Tuesday May 28, 2002 at the Genoa Community Hospital. Funeral Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday May 31, 2002 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church - Krakow rural Genoa, Nebraska with Reverend Robert Nienaber officiating. Burial will be in Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery. Visitation is after 4:00 p.m. Thursday & 9:30 a.m. until service time Friday at the church. There will be a Sts. Peter & Paul Altar Society Rosary at 4:00 p.m. Thursday and a Vigil Service 7:30 p.m. Thursday also at the church.
Mary T. Kula, was born March 19, 1911 to George and Veronica (Liss) Jurkowski. She attended school in Nance County, and married Alex Kula June 5, 1934 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Krakow. She farmed along with her husband in Merrick and Nance Counties. Alex died on August 7, 1969. Mary lived in Columbus 4 years and then retired and moved to Silver Creek, Ne. She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Silver Creek and was a lifetime member of Sts. Peter & Paul Altar Society. She enjoyed raising her children, gardening, Polish music, and playing cards.
