Mary Bartee, died Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at Emerald Care and Rehab in Columbus.
Services are 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 15, 2023 at the McKown Funeral Home with Rev. Cindi Stewart officiating. Visitation is Friday 5-7 p.m. at the McKown Funeral Home.
Mary was born in St. Edward, Nebraska to Roderick Reynoldson. She graduated from Albion High School in 1960. Mary was a long-time resident of Columbus. After retiring from Dale Electronics, she moved to Maryland to help her brother, Jerry, take care of his horse farm. Mary then moved to Denver, Colorado and Laramie, Wyoming to be closer to family and help raise her grandkids for the next 20 years.
She leaves behind three children Cherie Lisa (Bartee) Van Dyke (Randy), Howard Scott Bartee (Michelle), Roderick Todd Bartee (Jane). Six grandchildren Jessica Groskopf (Jim), Jenna Banahan (Andy), Brittany Goodrich (Bobby), Lucy, Callie and Owen Bartee and ten great grandchildren Olive, Tatum, Bishop, and Pacie Groskopf, Brayden, Emersyn, Oaklynn and Finnley Banahan, and Lilly and Sammy Goodrich. She also leaves her siblings Jerry Reynoldson, Bobbie Long (Max), Jim Reynoldson (Lisa), Mark Reynoldson, Janet Reynoldson, many nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her father Roderick Reynoldson, sister Jeanne Valish, step-mother Berdella Donoghue, brother-in-law: Jerry Valish
Mary loved her family dearly, always placing them first before anything else. She also loved golf, bowling, horse racing and you might find her at the casino. Mary was an avid sports fan. She followed the Huskers, Colorado Avalanche, and Freddie Couples. She wasn't afraid to show her support from the stands for local teams, her kids and grandkids, or any team that you told her to cheer for.
