Mary Ann Liss

Mary Ann Liss, 79, of Duncan died Friday, December 26, 2003 at her home in Duncan. Services are 10:30 am Tuesday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Duncan with the Rev. Frank Jindra and Rev. Tom Lux officiating. Visitation begins on Monday after 5:00 pm at St. Stanislaus Church with a Vigil service at 7:00 pm, also at the church. Visitation will continue Tuesday morning from 9:30 am until service time at the church in Duncan. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.

Mary Ann Liss was born July 5, 1924 in Polk County, Nebraska to George and Catherine (Matya) Boruch. She graduated from St. Bonaventure High School in Columbus in 1942. She moved to California and worked in a sugar factory. On October 26, 1948 Mary Ann was united in marriage to Louis D. Liss at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Duncan. The couple lived in Duncan where Mary worked for Douglas & Lomason for 17 years. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Church, St. Ann's, Church Choir, Family Ministry, Pro-Life, and the Duncan Lions Club.
