Marvin &Quot;Bub&Quot; Ulmer

Marvin died Friday, September 26, 2014 at his home in Platte Center, Nebraska.

Marvin "Bub" Ulmer was born December 14, 1949 in Logan, Iowa to Gerald and Marie (Hanson) Ulmer. He graduated from Woodbine, Iowa High School in 1968. While in high school he played in a rock and roll band, and in his Uncles' band until he left for the service. Bub served in the U.S. Army in Germany during Vietnam from March 1971 - March 1973. He married Debra Leinen on April 20, 1974. The couple lived in Woodbine, Iowa and Texas before moving to Columbus in 1989. Bub worked for B-D Construction for many years and also at the Eagle's Club. He enjoyed being outside, helping his neighbors and spending time with his grandchildren.
