Martin Block, age 64 of Leigh, died Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at his home.

Private family services will be held in Omaha.

In lieu of plants and flowers, memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.

Martin (Marty) Block was born March 20, 1962 in Omaha, NE to Gordon and Sue (Pierson) Block. Marty was one of 7 children. They were raised in Omaha until Marty was age 14 when they moved to Leigh, NE. He attended Leigh High School.

Marty was very good with his hands and worked in both the construction and mechanic industries in his youth. Marty could be a very kind and loving person – who would give someone the shirt of his back to help them. He always tried to “save” everyone – wanted to help others any way he could. He cared deeply about his family, his friends and his dog – his best pal Babe. Marty enjoyed camping, fishing and working on cars. He lived his life as best he could and endured more than anyone person should have had to.

He is survived by 3 sisters; Jacki Monico (Bob)-Omaha; Jeni Block-Omaha; Jeanette Burnett (Pat)-Schuyler; and 1 brother; Allen Block (Karen)-Omaha and many nieces/nephews and great nieces/nephews.

He is preceded in death by: Mother-Sue Block (Pierson); Father-Gordon Block; Brother-Charlie Block; Sister: Joanne Clarke (Block)
