Martha Mary Jones, 95, of Columbus died Sunday, April 24, 2005 at her home in Columbus. Funeral services are 10:30 am Wednesday, April 27 at St. Isidore Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph A. Miksch officiating. Visitation is on Tuesday from 3-7 pm at McKown Funeral Home with a Vigil service to follow at 7 pm, also at the funeral home. Visitation continues Wednesday morning from 8-10 am at the funeral home. Interment is in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
Martha Mary Thomas was born September 27, 1909 at St. Mary's-Humphrey to Fred and Agnes (Schneck) Thomas. She grew up in and around Platte County. Martha married Everett Jones on July 27, 1933 at St. Bonaventure Church in Columbus. She was a housewife, worked at Adam's Cafe, and at the hospital in Columbus. She enjoyed playing bridge, crocheting, gardening, and canning. She was a member of St. Isidore Church and many bridge clubs.
She is survived by one daughter, Charlotte Jones of Columbus.
