Mark Staroscik

Mark Staroscik , 45, of Columbus, died on December 30, 2018, at Columbus Community Hospital.

Funeral services are 10:30 A.M. Friday, January 4, 2019 at 1C-The Sanctuary, 2200 28th Avenue, Columbus, Nebraska.  Visitation will be Thursday, January 3, 2019 from 3:00 P.M.  to 7:00 P.M. at McKown Funeral Home and Friday, 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. at the Church.  Burial will be at the Columbus City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to be designated at a later date.

Mark A. Staroscik was born January 23, 1973 in Columbus, Nebraska to Berney and Shona (Gulbrandson) Staroscik. He received his early education at St. Isidore Catholic School and graduated from Columbus High in 1991. He attended Central Community College and later graduated from the University of Nebraska-Kearney. He taught at Grand Island High School and Beloit, Kansas before Moving to Columbus in 2008. He has taught special education with the Columbus Public School System since moving here. On July 1, 2006 he married Kimberly Holle in Beloit, Kansas. Mark loved the company of others. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, family and spending time with his friends. He did not shy away from competition.
