Marion Meister

Marion Meister of Columbus died Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at Columbus Community Hospital.

Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 am Monday, July 27 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Bellwood. Visitation is on Sunday from 5-7 pm at the church with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 pm, all at St. Peter's Church. Visitation continues on Monday from 9:30 am until service time at the church. Interment is in St. Peter and Mary Cemetery, rural Bellwood with Military Honors by the Bellwood American Legion

Marion Meister was born January 26, 1933 in Bellwood, NE to Conrad and Mae (Schmit) Meister. He grew up in Bellwood and graduated from high school in 1951. Marion entered the US Navy and served from1952-1956. Marion farmed for a couple of years before going to work at D&L in Columbus for 20 years. Marion then returned to helping his brother Jerome farm. While living in Columbus he was a member of St. Bonaventure Church and the Eagles Club.
