Marion died Sunday, October 2, 2011 at his home.

Marion Graybill was born July 3, 1939 in David City, Nebraska to Charles and Clara (Chambers) Graybill. He graduated from David City High School in 1956. Marion served in the U.S. Navy from 1956 - 1960. In 1959 he was the youngest sailor stationed in Anartica. On May 13, 1961 Marion was united in marriage to Dorothy Fuhr at the First United Methodist Church in Columbus. In 1961 he re-enlisted and served in Vietnam for 1 year in 1964. Marion was stationed on 5 different ships; USS Bryce Canyon AD36, USS Aludra AF55, USS Perry DD844, USS Luce DLG7 and the USS Brownson DD868. On July 1, 1977 Marion retired from the Navy with the rank of Chief Petty Officer. He returned to Columbus where he worked for Pinkerton Security as a security officer for Behlen Mfg. and Excel. in 1983 Marion was diagnosed with M.S. and had to retire. He enjoyed visiting family & friends, talking about his adventures in the Navy, NASCAR & watching TV.

Sister-in-law: Rita Mae Fuhr of Columbus, NE
Brother-in-law: Richard (Ann) Fuhr of Columbus, NE
Sister-in-law: Rose (Bill) Meyer of Fremont, NE
Grandchildren: Leah & Jeremy Indra, Patrick Graybill, Derrick Graybill & friend Danielle, Tyler Lopour and friend Christine, Lacy Lopour & friend Craig, KLyn Lopour, Andrew Novotny, Alexandria Novotny, Ashlee Novotny, & Amber Novotny all of Clarkson, NE
