Marilyn A. Schuckman

Marilyn died Sunday, February 5, 2017 at the Stanton Health Center in Stanton, Nebraska.

Marilyn Ann Schuckman was born October 10, 1927 in Platte Center, Nebraska to Joseph and Anna (Stapf) Bogus. She attended St. Joseph Grade School and graduated from Platte Center High School in 1944. Marilyn received her Registered Nurse Degree from Creighton Memorial St. Josephs School of Nursing in Omaha, Nebraska in 1945. On October 14, 1953 she married John J. Schuckman at St. Joseph Church in Platte Center. Marilyn lived in Omaha for 3 years, Cheyenne, Wyoming for 5 years, Columbus for 8 years and in Bloomfield for 1 year before moving to the Crofton area in 1962. She worked at Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton, South Dakota and held various nursing positions until retiring in 1990. In 2011 she moved to the Stanton Health Care Center until her death. Marilyn was a life member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary Post #3704 in Columbus. Marilyn was an excellent cook. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, counted cross stitch, gardening, canning, and spending time outdoors.

She is survived by:

Son: Tim (Rhonda) Schuckman of Broken Bow, NE
8 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren
Brother: Ron (Bonnie) Bogus of Columbus, NE
Sister-in-law: Betty Bogus of Columbus, NE
She was preceded in death by:
Parents: Joseph and Anna Bogus
Husband: John Schuckman, Sr.
Brother: Carroll Bogus
Brother: Kenneth Bogus
Sister-in-law: Delores Bogus
