Marilyn R. Evans, 75, of Columbus died Thursday, October 17, 2013 in Omaha.
Mrs. Evans was born September 16, 1938 in Mendota, Illinois, to Harold and Margaret (Schmidt) Bansau. She attended Holy Cross Grade School and graduated in 1956 from Mendota High School. She was a graduate of Mercy School of Nursing, St. Ambrose College, in Davenport, Iowa.
She married Michael Evans on July 7, 1962 in Mendota, IL. They lived in Clovis, NM and Glendale, AZ before moving to Columbus in 1966.
She was employed at St. Mary Hospital and Columbus Community Hospital for 20 years.
Survivors include her husband and three sons: Brian (Clay Blackman)Evans of Omaha, NE; Craig (Elizabeth) Evans of Salt Lake City, UT; Doug Evans of Lincoln, NE; two sisters: Carol (Ben) Grunder of Lincoln, IL and Shirley (Russ) Dinges of Yorkville, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant daughter.
The family requests no flowers. Memorials may be directed to the St. Isidore Endowment Fund.
