Marie died Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at the Countryside Home in Madison, Nebraska.
Marie Ronkar was born April 6, 1921 near Bellwood, Nebraska to Bernard and Johanna (Gerritsen) Gall. She attended Marietta Schools at Presentation Parish near Bellwood. She married Jerome Ronkar Sr. on May 21, 1941. They lived and farmed near Howells before moving to a farm near Linwood. They finally settled with their family on a farm east of Bellwood. In 1966 they moved into Columbus. Marie worked for the Marietta Schools as a cook. She was then employed at D&L in Columbus until retiring in 1986. She also worked part time at the Sahara Lounge. She enjoyed working outdoors with her flowers, quilting, embroidering, bingo and baking. She was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters Of The Americas, Christian Mothers and the Eagles Club.
In lieu of flowers memorial are suggested to St. Isidore Church.
