Marie Markytan

Marie K. Markytan was born December 8, 1915 in Dodge, Nebraska to John and Katherine (Knobbe) Korte. She graduated from Petersburg High School in 1935. Marie married Laddie Markytan on April 12, 1939 in West Point, Nebraska. They lived in Platte Center and Columbus. Along with being a homemaker, Marie also worked at B-D for 29 years. She was a member of St. Bonaventure Church, Legion of Mary, Franciscan Missionary Union, Perpetual Adoration since 1978 and B-D Alumni Association. She enjoyed golfing, playing cards and travelling. She and Laddie were avid Nebraska Football fans, having traveled to many bowl games together.

In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to St. Bonaventure Church, Scotus High School and Alzheimers Association.
