Marie Benson, age 79, of Genoa, Nebraska died Sunday, September 18, 2022 at Faith Regional Hospital in Norfolk, Nebraska

A Celebration of her life will be held from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 24, 2022 at the McKown-Rice Funeral Home in Genoa.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Genoa Rescue Squad.

Mabel Marie Benson was born December 27, 1942 in Alliance, Nebraska to Frederick and Mary Louise (Ritter) Retke. She married Allen D. Benson on September 1, 1962 at the Federated Church in Columbus, Nebraska. The couple lived in Genoa for over 32 years. Marie was a homemaker and worked as a beautician in her younger years. She loved to crochet, watching old westerns and her dogs.
