Marian Smith

Marian Smith, age 76, of Valparaiso, Nebraska (formerly of Genoa, Nebraska) passed away Monday, October 3, 2022 at her home.

Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 7, 2022 at Ss. Peter & Paul - Krakow (rural Genoa). Visitation is 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Thursday with a 7:00 p.m. Vigil Service at Ss. Peter & Paul - Krakow. Visitation continues Friday morning from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. also at the church. Burial is in the Parish Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the wishes of the family for further designation.

Marian Smith was born May 8, 1946, in Silver Creek, Nebraska to Joseph and Florence (Kontor) Konwinski. She graduated from Silver Creek High School in 1964. She was united in marriage to Charles Smith for 58 years.   Marian lived outside of Genoa for 49 years and worked at Becton-Dickenson for 32 years. She was a member of the Ss. Peter & Paul – Krakow Church-Genoa. She loved horseback riding, camping, cards, and spending time with family.

Daughter: Traci (Lennie) Throne of Clarkdale, AZ
