Marguerite died Sunday, November 27, 2011 at the Butler County Health Care Center in David City, Nebraska.
Marguerite Hartsel was born October 19, 1926 in Page County, Iowa to Clarence Earl and Josephine (Dukeshire) Resh. She married Virgil L. Hartsel on May 19, 1945 in Cawker City, Kansas. The couple lived in California and Seattle, Washington while he was in the service. Following the service they lived and farmed in Iowa before moving to Columbus. Marguerite worked at Dale Electronics for 37 years where she enjoyed the people she worked with. She was a member of the Federated Church, Women's Fellowship and the prayer tree. She helped her husband Virgil with the Boy Scouts when he was a scout leader and helped at local Alzheimer's meetings. Marguerite enjoyed camping, fishing, reading, growing flowers and watching football games. She also enjoyed helping her husband when he was coaching baseball. Marguerite was happy about being in the nursing home and enjoyed all the people who helped her and was there for her in time of need. She enjoyed every day as her motto was "One Day At A Time!"
