Margaret R. "Peg" Byers of David City, formerly of Columbus, died Friday January 29, 2010 at David Place in David City.
Margaret "Peg" R. Byers was born January 16, 1929 in Osceola, Nebraska to John M. and Victoria (Micek) Staroscik. She graduated from Osceola High School in 1947. On December 30, 1948, Peg was united in marriage to Don R. Byers, Jr. in Osceola, Nebraska. They moved to Columbus where Peg raised their 5 children. Peg went to work at the City Water Office for 5 years, at Bircker Office Supply, and worked in Dr. Conrad's office for 6 years. Peg was a woman of devotion to God, her husband, and to her family. She enjoyed baking, cooking, sewing, gardening, and spending time with her family. She was a member of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, the 3rd Order of St. Francis, and the Catholic Daughters.
